In Petralia Sottana and in the heart of the Madonie Park, the first Adventure Park of Sicily was founded in 2008. It is a new, funny and safe way to get closer to nature by learning to discover, know and respect it.
While their parents visit the artistic, architectural and cultural beauties of Petralia Sottana or discover its natural treasures, the sons can compete with exciting canopy tours, exciting mountain bike tracks, archery, orienteering and nature tours: they can experience nature in a territory to discover.
The Adventure Park is also the right place to bring a school field trip. The programs (for one or more days) are arranged considering every order and degree scholars’ need, capacities and expectations of every kind of scholars. Sports activities are matched with educational and environmental laboratories. Furthermore, the pinewood of Gorgonero is a site of Community Importance rich in biodiversity and endemic flora. It represents an ideal classroom for educational adventure to be continued in the historical centre of Petralia Sottana, thanks to the Urban Geological Path.
